David brings extensive commercial and energy market experience to his role as CEO of PowerSync. He previously founded Solgen Energy Group, which became Australia’s largest commercial and industrial solar developer prior to its acquisition by AGL, and also established Sol Distribution, one of the country’s largest solar component importers. David led some of the earliest commercial PPA deployments in Australia and has a strong background in corporate finance with global experience across technology and infrastructure sectors. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce.
Clifford has over a decade of experience in the energy industry and brings a broad skillset spanning solar cell manufacturing, C&I solar and battery delivery, and new energy solutions. He has worked across start-ups and public companies, most recently leading DER orchestration and technology-enabled business energy solutions at AGL Energy. Prior to joining AGL, Clifford worked across large-scale commercial energy projects with Solgen Energy Group. Clifford holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Economics from Wabash College (USA) and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons Class 1) in Photovoltaics & Solar Energy from UNSW.
Axel has over a decade of experience delivering renewable and technology projects across Europe and Australia, including leading roles in EPC, retail, and strategic technology deployments such as DHL’s Bright Thinkers Power Station. He brings a strong delivery focus and innovation leadership to PowerSync’s technology platform. Axel holds a Master of Physics & Renewable Energy Systems and a Bachelor of Chemistry and Physics (France), and a Master of Project Management (Australia).
Marion leads PowerSync’s licensing, compliance, trading, and analytics functions, drawing on a decade in investment banking and asset management across J.P. Morgan, Blackrock, and Barings. Her experience in credit, risk, and ESG integration ensures disciplined and forward-thinking market operations. Marion holds a Master’s in International Economic Policy and a Bachelor of Political Science (France).
Matt has led major demand response and distributed energy integration projects at Shell Energy and ERM Power, and has experience in deploying renewables in both urban and remote communities. At PowerSync, he enables seamless participation in energy markets through advanced technology implementation. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Renewable Energies (Hons) from UNSW, and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
Aaron brings over a decade of commercial and technical experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on sales, partnerships, and deployment of battery and solar projects. He has held senior roles at Energy Matters and GEM Energy, where he led innovation initiatives and identified commercially viable C&I battery opportunities. Aaron has also trained and developed sales teams across the industry and has played a key role in unlocking tariff optimisation and storage solutions for large energy users. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Griffith University with majors in Economics and Marketing.
